Ethics and Social Responsibility

Ethics- being able to decide what is right from wrong, on your own.
Social Responsibility- a company or business's concern for a society's welfare.

In the business world, almost every company should have a code of ethics. A code of ethics if a guide to help marketing managers and other employees make better decisions within the business.

Apple has a code of ethics that every employee follows. Employees use this as a guide to help innovate their products and get their products out to the world. The supplier code of conduct they practice are essential to the company in making ethical decisions. All the decisions made within the Apple company help them realize what they should improve on, what is wrong and what is right for the company.

Apple has an ethics training program established by its managers to help work with foreign employees, to also keep track of how well the business is doing. The ethics program enforces the managers responsibility within every part of Apple. They like to make sure that their employees are always satisfied with how they are being treated and if anything should be changed. With that being Apple's goal with its employees, they conduct yearly audits with employees and contract workers to make sure they are being well treated and satisfied within the company.

The Apple company has been making sure that its suppliers have their employees in safe working conditions, and are being treated with dignity and respect. They are also trying to make sure that they use environmentally responsible machinery.
